With so much to do, this was one of the areas that I personally think could wait until after the baby arrives. However, the baby market puts the pressure on young mothers (or old ones like me) to get the perfect room together prior to baby arriving. The worst part is everything and I do mean everything has to be ordered. Even items that read "Take Home Today" had to be ordered. Did it take a few days? No, it took up to 8 weeks. This puts additional stress on mother's to be that really isn't necessary. You may ask why I didn't start earlier...well, I didn't feel good (imagine that) not to mention all the work that went into cleaning out the room to begin with just exhausted me. The good news is I was really motivated during the Christmas break from work to get it finished. Once the bedding came in, my mother-in-law and I got to work putting everything in its place. I figure we will put something on the wall after she is born. Maybe something with her name or initials, but we'll wait and see.

| The quilt is one my grandmother made me as a little girl. |
Also, here is a closer look at the bedding and mobil.

| I love the little lambs. That was definitely worth the upgrade charge! |
These pictures show you around the room from right to left, and there have been a few changes since these pictures were made. For example, there is now a flower rug in front of the glider, and there are many more clothes and blankets.
The reason being these pictures were taken before we had any showers.
Anyway, the good news for now is she does have a place to sleep when the time comes.
So adorable! Are the walls tan or green?
ReplyDeleteSweet girl room. I like the green:)
ReplyDeleteAmelia, thanks! The walls are tan. I didn't want to paint. We just painted when we got married, and I didn't want to paint again when we move (whenever that is.)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shelley!
It all looks so sweet! Where did you get the bedding? I love me some pink + green. My favorite combination. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jamie! I like the green and pink combination, and as you can see I like more green than pink. :-) I ordered the bedding from Baby Bundles in Northport, but the bedding company is www.pinecreekbedding.com
ReplyDeleteYou've done a great job and tan is a good all purpose color that will grow with the baby as you change the details over time to toddler to child! You are a genius!
