First Day of School and Work
The first day of school (June 1st) was hard, but we didn't cry...that morning. Sunshine, Pecan, and I drove off to the unknown of daycare and first day (for me) back at work. She seemed content when we left her in the good hands of her "teachers", but it was still sad to know someone else would be meeting her needs during the day.
Before going to nurse her at lunch, I called to see how she was doing, and when the last time she ate was. I found out she would not take her bottle...I teared up knowing my baby had to be starving. Off I went to nurse her, and we had a good bonding time. I received a call around 4:30 for the same thing, so Auntie Carol took me, since Sunshine had the vehicle. Pecan seemed very happy to see me, and after eating, all was right in the world again.

I love and miss her so much! This is definitely one of the harder times I've had in my life. However, I know she is where God wants her, and He will help me through this. He will remind me how wonderful He is through the joyful noises she makes when we are together.

Happy Belated Birthday to My Sunshine
I'm a tad late, but I hope my beloved had a wonderful birthday.
It started off with cake in bed.
We had our parents over for dinner. I'm including a picture here of the table setting. This is something I rarely do, and I thought it turned out very nice.
At one point during dinner, Pecan decided she needed to eat Papa G's finger.
For his birthday, Sunshine gave Pecan a bath. Okay, he gives her one every night, but he really is good at it!
The night ended with his favorite...
And of course the best birthday gift ever...it is the gift that keeps on giving. :-)

Pool Time
The morning of May 25th, we met out friends Kelly and Maya at the Univ pool. I forgot to take pictures, but Pecan loved dipping her feet in the water. That evening we decided to take her to the community pool. Her swimsuit straps were a little too big, so we had to use a chip clip to clip them together. :-)
I'm not sure about this...
Not too bad...
We may have a water baby yet.

Cousin Bek's Graduation
On May 20th, we headed west for my niece's graduation. It is hard to believe she is old enough to be graduating from high school! Sure wish I had a scanner, because if I did, you would see how cute she was as a toddler. Of course, she still is, and still has the dark curly hair that she had then.

Of course, there is always time for being goofy...
How do my glasses look?
Okay, they really do look better on Pecan. :-)
A little late, but Congratulations to Bek! We love you, and are so proud of you!
Out of State
On May 11th, we went out of state for the first time. Grandmother, Pecan, and I went shopping and visited with my Aunt Sis and Uncle Fred which was also their first time to meet.
Update
Be prepared...I plan to have several posts over the next few days. Get ready...get set...go! :-)
