Mom's Assistant

This weekend I spent time going through the clothes in my closet trying to determine if I have any clothes I can wear to work when I start back next week (which I'm trying hard not to think about). Aliza was my assistant giving me her opinion on everything.  Do you think she could get any more comfortable in doing it?  :-)

My First Mother's Day

Not sure what happened to my original Mother's Day post, but it seems there were problems with the server.  It is now gone, and I cannot remember exactly what I wrote. I do know I wasn't exactly sure I could put into words how I felt about my first Mother's Day.  It seemed almost like a dream, because I have a precious daughter that is so joyful.

Here are the pictures I posted.

The sweet note Aliza sent me.

My sweet Mother's Day gifts from my baby.

Aliza and I with my mother.

Look at that adorable face. :-)

Pretty laid back.
This appears to be my dad sitting outside alone, but look closer...
...and closer...
...and yet closer...
How sweet is that?!

Happy 2 Months

And the pictures she will not like me for one day, but I love her facial expressions!

Since I'm so far behind in updating the blog, I'm posting her 1st month picture. I cannot believe how fast the time has flown!
This was a little blurry, but I love her smile!

Oh What a Life

Okay, this is going to be out of chronological order, but it was too cute not to share.  Each week, Aliza and I head west to visit my parents.  Today she was a little fussy, so my dad took her outside which is where she LOVES to be.  He recently bought a new toy to help him with his gardening, but he thought it would be just right for her.

What do you think?

Before we go for a ride, we need some shades.

Here we go...

The ride seemed to do the trick.

But who really needed the nap?

First Day Home

The day we came home, Aliza had her hospital pictures made.
Aliza's first glamour shot. :-)
We are both ready to be home.
First family picture of us not in hospital attire.

Aliza in her going home outfit.  This is the same outfit down to the booties I wore home 37 years ago, so she is already wearing vintage. :-)
Dad and daughter

Wow! She looks so small.

Preparing to leave the hospital.

Another shot of her looking so small.  Oh it is a first for the beautiful blanket her Gran Pat bought.

First time walking to the house as a family.

Here we go to live our life as a family...

A Life of Firsts

Since I have not kept the blog current, I'm going to do a life of firsts. This post is Aliza's first day of life outside the womb which was March 7th.

Aliza's first picture (okay the second, but this is the first "clean" pic)
My first view of Aliza.
First time to be held by mom.  (I remembering thinking how precious she really was.)

First time to be weighed. (I pray she doesn't define herself by this as she grows)

First footprints.
First time to be held by dad.
First family picture.

First time to meet the grandparents.

First time to sunbath...okay just a warmer. :-)

First bath.
First hair washing.
First diaper change (at least it was dad's first time)

And my favorite...
Dad's first time to read the Bible to her outside the womb.

  Many more first to come...
